4K Blu-rays hit UK market
April 11, 2016
Ultra-HD Blu-rays are now available in the UK after launching in the US earlier this year.
Twelve titles are currently available including Mad Max: Fury Road, Life of Pi, Fantastic Four and Pan.
Movies in the new format are priced between £20 (€25) and £25 and are available from a range of retailers including Amazon and HMV.
In order to view the new 4K Blu-rays, viewers will need a compatible 4K player, Panasonic is the only company who sells one at the moment with their DMP-UB900 4K Blu-ray player costing £600. Samsung will launching its UBD-K8500 4K Blu-ray player shortly for around £429.
