Kino Polska TV will develop ZoomTV
November 12, 2015
Poland’s National Broadcasting Council has adopted a resolution to grant a concession for a national terrestrial local news oriented channel to Cable Television Network & Partners, which will develop ZoomTV television channel as a joint project of the PIKSEL Foundation and Kino Polska TV, with Grupa Onet.pl as a content-providing partner. ZoomTV will be broadcast on the eighth multiplex of DTT in Poland.
The share capital of Cable Television Networks & Partners (CTNP) will be increased, enabling Kino Polska TV to take up shares representing 49 per cent of the company for PLN 10 million, if the National Broadcasting Council’s decision becomes final. Partners behind this enterprise emphasize that the new ZoomTV channel will collaborate closely on the programming and content with local broadcasters and with Onet.pl web portal.
ZoomTV will broadcast news and other programing concerning local and regional issues as well as local self-government and NGO topics. The channel will promote grassroots initiatives and will be producing programs educating viewers on self-government, community development, and citizen participation.
