Cinedigm selects thePlatform
September 4, 2015
thePlatform, a white-label video publishing company and independent subsidiary of Comcast, has been selected by Cinedigm, a distributor and aggregator of independent content, to provide back-end video services for its newest OTT subscription networks. Specifically, thePlatform’s mpx will support CONtv, a joint venture between Cinedigm and Wizard World, a producer of live pop culture multimedia conventions, providing multiplatform OTT services geared toward the Comic Con community, and the Dove Channel, an upcoming family oriented video network from The Dove Foundation.
“Cinedigm continues to propel the industry forward with robust digital entertainment networks, like ConTV and the Dove Channel,” said Marty Roberts, co-CEO of thePlatform. “As a testament to the speed, flexibility and scalability of our solution, we’re excited to play a key role in supporting Cinedigm’s video publishing efforts across some of its newest, multiplatform initiatives.”
