From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
Viacom International Media Networks France will launch its new HD youth channel Nickelodeon 4Teen on November 18th, on both Canalsat (satellite and ADSL) and Numericable.
Targeting viewers aged 8-14, and more specifically girls, the channel will be fully dedicated to series and comedies including exclusive programming such as Teen Witch and Bella and the Bulldogs.
4Teen will be available live on the web and digital devices as well as in replay. Through Nickelodeon free app, 4Teen will also offer its own web radio and Facebook/Twitter timelines.
Conceived as “Disney’s anti-Violetta weapon”, according to CEO Thierry Cammas, 4Teen is the fourth kid service operated by Viacom in France after Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon Junior, and interactive channel My Nickelodeon Junior.
The group also launched Manga-oriented channel J-One last year.
