Fox confirms Season 6 of The Walking Dead

Even before the season 5 premiere, Fox International Channels (FIC) has announced that global hit series The Walking Dead will return for a sixth season around the world. Across Hong Kong & Southeast Asia the series will once again join the roster of “First on FOX” shows, bringing the show to audiences within 24 hours after he US launch.
Season 5 premieres on October 13th in all of its 125+ markets as part of FIC’s continued commitment to broadcast the series internationally immediately after the US. Following the US trend, The Walking Dead continues to break records across FIC’s territories and has more than tripled its numbers on Fox since its launch.
AMC, the rights holder of the series in the US, also recently announced that it has ordered a pilot for a potential companion series to The Walking Dead, based on a new story and new characters.
