A problem with the BBC’s iPlayer catch-up service on Thursday October 2 caused frustration for potential viewers of the semi-final stages of the Great British Bake Off.
Users attempting to access the service were greeted with a black box reading: “BBC iPlayer is temporarily unavailable due to a technical problem. Please try again later,” it advised.
A number of frustrated fans took to Twitter to ascertain whether the problem was widespread and to express their disappointment and frustration at not being able to watch the cult show.
