Star Wars series to debut on Disney On Demand

Disney and Lucasfilm have confirmed a premiere date for Star Wars: Rebels, the first series since The Walt Disney Company bought Lucasfilm in October 2012.
Those who subscribe to Disney Channel On Demand and the network’s app will have early access to the premier episode, entitled ‘Spark of Rebellion’, on September 29th.
The episode will then air on the main Disney channel on October 3rd before being made available to purchase on download on October 4th through Amazon, iTunes and Google Play. It will also be released on DVD on October 14th.
The series will be broadcast in 34 languages throughout 163 countries worldwide, reaching more than 400 million households.
The series is set 14 years after Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and 5 years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
