Euronews, the international news channel, has signed an agreement with Canal Futura, a non-lucrative educative Brazilian channel part of a social project of public interest.
The agreement enables Canal Futura to select among the wide range of programmes produced by Euronews in several fields such as education, culture, science, high-tech, entertainment, in-depth reports…
Futura is available to 15 million households in Brazil via satellite, cable (NET, Embratel, Claro TV), terrestrial TV and in many universities.
“I am delighted to announce the agreement with Canal Futura, a very high-quality and respected TV channel initiative. We are especially proud because at Euronews we share this common goal of making knowledge available to as many people as possible. It’s also a significant step to make Euronews more accessible and known to the Brazilian public thanks to the new 15 million homes who receive it”, said Arnaud Verlhac, Director of Worldwide distribution at Euronews.
