India’s Dish TV network ready to expand
December 5, 2013

The successful launch of the SES-8 satellite means those broadcasters already using its target 95 degrees East position can soon tap into its extra bandwidth.
Mainly this affects Dish TV which already has hundreds of channels, including HDTV services, transmitting from NSS-6 and all using Conax encryption.
Other users include AVG which beams channels to Vietnam. IPM uses NSS-6 for programming into Thailand.
SES’ client, as far a India is concerned is India’s Space Research Organisation which handles and licenses access to satellite services.
