TeliaSonera sacks senior managers
December 2, 2013
TeliaSonera has cleared out its senior management, firing its chief financial officer and three other employees, after an ethics review into the Swedish telco’s deals in central Asia.
Per-Arne Blomquist, who was acting chief executive earlier this year before returning to the role of finance director, and the three other workers lost the confidence of Telia’s board.
“Not enough risk assessment, not enough questions asked, not enough red flags acted upon,” Johan Dennelind, Telia’s new chief executive, told analysts.
