Hulu talks to likely bidders
March 26, 2013
Hulu’s board has approached potential buyers to gauge interest in buying the online video service, as News Corp and Walt Disney decide what to do with their share of the company.
The board has sounded out several possible bidders as part of an internal strategic review but it has not received a formal offer.
Finding a buyer will be difficult because most of Hulu’s contracts with networks for programmes are said to be short term, which raises concerns about its potential going forward.
News Corp and Disney are also considering including buying each other out, reports Reuters.
