Spain: Canal Plus Yomvi on iOS, Xbox, Android and Samsung
September 12, 2012
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Prisa TV-owned OTT service Canal Plus Yomvi is extending its multiplatform distribution with its launch on IOS system (Apple’s devices such as iPhone, iPad), Android and the upgrade of its service on Samsung Smart TV and Microsoft game console Xbox360.
Canal Plus Yomvi is using Nagravision’s technology MediaLive Multiscreen to make it available on all those platforms. The service will offer 18 TV channels through iPad with cinema, music concerts, football and other sports as the main features.
Prisa, owner of Canal Plus, believes that the existing one million iPads in Spain will give a definitive boost to its OTT service already available on PC, Jazztel, Microsoft’s XboX and Smart TVs like Samsung and LG.
