Cablenet launches VoD with Broadpeak
August 22, 2012
Cablenet, the cable operator in Cyprus, has deployed Broadpeak’s BkM100 Mediator content delivery network manager and BkS100 on-demand video servers to power its new digital cable service. Using Broadpeak’s highly scalable and flexible CDN technology, Cablenet is able to deliver new VoD and time-shift TV services — such as catch-up, start-over, and NPVR — to its subscribers more efficiently, while ensuring the best possible quality of experience.
“The capability to deliver high-quality VoD and time-shift TV services is critical to our company’s success,” said Nicolas Shiacolas, managing director of Cablenet. “Broadpeak content delivery network technology streamlines the deployment of our new VoD and time-shift TV services while providing us with the flexibility to integrate OTT video delivery in the future — all from a single, unified platform — making it a perfect future-proof solution.”
