iPlayer supports iPad’s Retina Display
August 14, 2012
The BBC has updated its BBC iPlayer app for iOS to include support for the iPad 3’s Retina Display.
Retina Display is a brand name used by Apple for displays the company claims to have a high enough pixel density that the human eye is unable to notice pixelation at a typical viewing distance. The update means BBC shows will look more vibrant on the tablet’s 2048×1546 resolution touchscreen.
The BBC iPlayer app is available for free from the App Store.
