KIT digital releases RTÉ Player apps

KIT digital, a cloud-based software solutions and technology services provider, has deployed Irish broadcaster RTÉ’s RTÉ Player app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. KIT digital is also involved in the ongoing development of RTÉ Connected Device apps. RTÉ is leveraging KIT digital’s Connected Device Framework and software platform to bring its programming alive in mobile and connected environments, giving viewers greater choice in how they access RTÉ content.
Launched worldwide, the iOS app allows iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users to stream RTÉ programming for up to 21 days after transmission using a Wi-Fi or 3G network, as well as watch selected live shows from RTÉ One, RTÉ Two and RTÉ News Now.
