Digital Plus goes multi-platform
November 26, 2010
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Prisa-owned digital DTH platform, Digital Plus, is opening itself up to all screens with the launch of a specific micro service for iPad, iPhone and (PC and Mac) computers and, in the near future, for all Android-equipped devices.
The service is composed of six TV channels: Canal +, Canal + Futbol, Canal + Deportes, Canal + Golf, Sportmania and CNN +. It also includes latest films or TV series like Mad Men. The package will be free of charge for current subscribers to Premium + and Premium + Total and until April 1st for the rest of clients.
To enjoy the service, subscribers have to download the necessary application from iPad and iPhone.
With this new distribution platform, Digital Plus “is taking another step forward in the technological evolution as it already happened with the launch of the iPlus terminal, HD content and 3D broadcasts”, said Chus del Rio, director of Digital Plus Multimedia.
