Dutch DTV excels

The number of digital TV connections in the Netherlands grew by 5.2 per cent or 200,100 net additions during the fourth quarter to a total 4.014 million at the end of 2008. At the same time, digital TV increased its share of the entire TV market to 50.9 per cent, passing analogue TV as the most-used TV service, according to Telecompaper’s quarterly report on the Dutch TV market. The market researcher expects the digital TV market to grow four-to-five per cent per quarter in 2009, reaching the five million subscribers mark in 2010
