Profits grow at BBC Worldwide

BBC Worldwide has reported a 17 per cent increase in year-on-year operating profits of £117.7 million (E144m), on turnover up 13 per cent to £916.3 million, a margin of 13 per cent. In terms of the trading outlook for BBC Worldwide, chief executive John Smith said the current worsening global economic situation "indicated that profits for the current financial year could be affected by the changing global economic conditions".
