Disney Channel UK managing director Rob Gilby has been promoted to head the broadcaster’s operations across Asia-Pacific. Gilby takes the new role of senior vice president and managing director for the region for Disney-ABC International Television as part of a restructure.

Nuts TV to Sky

Turner Broadcasting System will increase distribution for its men's entertainment channel, Nuts TV, when it is made available on the digital satellite platform with access via the Sky Guide from next week. The channel will extend its hours on the platform with programming starting at 19.00 and running until 03.00 each night.

MultiChoice licenses onHandTV from S3

Silicon & Software Systems (S3) have announced that South African Pay-TV operator MultiChoice has licensed S3's onHandTV Software Development Kit (SDK) for DVB-H to further develop their interactive Mobile Broadcast TV services. S3 is bringing their detailed product expertise and market knowledge to bear in this close collaboration with MultiChoice.
