August 31, 2016
Kaltura, a video technology provider, and Microsoft Azure, which is enabling some of the world’s biggest media companies to host and stream video at scale across all devices, are working together to deliver a cloud-based OTT platform using best-of-breed technology for a robust, scalable OTT TV solution to deliver content to any device.
Kaltura has integrated with Microsoft Azure to encode, store, and deliver OTT TV content from the cloud, providing an end-to-end OTT TV offering with Microsoft Azure.
“Today’s content providers need more than just a great user experience,” says Ron Yekutiel, Kaltura Co-founder, Chairman, and CEO. “They need the reliability and flexibility of the cloud to ensure that their users will be able to access that experience from wherever they are. We’re delighted to couple our proven OTT solution with Microsoft Azure’s scalable cloud infrastructure to provide world-class OTT services to customers worldwide.”
“Together with Kaltura we are making it possible for content providers to launch an OTT TV platform on Microsoft Azure quickly and at scale,” said Sudheer Sirivara, GM, Azure Media Services, Microsoft Corp. “The global scale of Microsoft Azure, combined with Kaltura’s industry expertise, offer our mutual customers the cloud scale services needed to maximise their content reach and monetisation.”
