Vivendi’s on-demand platform Dailymotion has reached an agreement with Rai Com, the commercial arm of RAI, to distribute premium content from Italy’s public broadcaster.
Content to be made available to Italian users of the VoD platform will include movie titles from RAI’s movie catalogue. These include contemporary mob drama Gomorra directed by Matteo Garrone, as well as Hollywood productions such as The Ides of March and The Wolf of Wall Steet.
Rai Com’s channel on Dailymotion is already active and offers dozens of titles. However, access to the content is geo-restricted to viewers in Italy.
