Tomlin named Discovery International VP

Darcy Tomlin has been named vice president of Discovery Networks International Programming and Operations. In her new role within Discovery’s International Content Group, she will be a key leader in managing the thousands of hours of shared content from the US portfolio of networks, as well as holding key relationships with programming teams in the US and its more than 220 countries and territories. Tomlin will be based in Discovery’s global headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Tomlin will manage the content partnership between Discovery Networks International and the US brand teams (Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Science, Velocity, etc.) and have day-to-day operational oversight related to content investment. She will also support Newell in the overall strategic planning and analysis around procuring and usage of shared content within the Discovery Networks International network portfolio.
Tomlin, a 15-year Discovery veteran, most recently served as senior director of programming with US brand Velocity.
