Spain: Champions League broadcasts at stake
October 2, 2015
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Media company Mediapro, distributor of beIN Sports in Spain, has claimed that the servers of beinsportsconnect.es are suffering a “massive attack” causing technical problems for broadcasting the Champions League.
beIN Sports has recommended its subscribers access the content through the web channel of totalchannel.tv, owned by Mediapro, to watch the matches, with a connection established well in advance before kick off.
But the access to TotalChannel also suffered severe technical problems two weeks ago with 7,000 viewers affected. In the meantime Telefonica has failed to reach an agreement with beIN Sports.
