Two major satellite launches are on schedule for lift-off on August 20th from Arianespace’s facility in French Guiana.
Eutelsat 8 West and Intelsat’s I-34 have been placed inside the giant Ariane 5’s rocket fairing, and the pre-launch technical review took place on August 18th in readiness for launch.
Launch window timings, subject to the usual weather or technical restrictions, are: Paris time 10.10pm-11.56pm, Washington time (4.10pm-5.56pm).
Arianespace.com will carry the launch video live starting 15 minutes before launch. This Ariane flight is the fourth flight this year, but will mean 7 satellites carried into space.
