Numericable drops Eurosport
August 11, 2015
French cable operator Numericable-SFR has removed the Eurosport 1 and 2 channels from its Numericable cable and SFR LaBox fibre services.
To watch the Discovery-owned sports network, viewers now need to pay a €25 a month subscription to Canalsat, which isn’t available through SFR.
The move follows the rejection of Numericable-SFR’s appeal against the Competition Authority’s ruling supporting Canalsat’s exclusive agreements. More channels are expected to be dropped in the coming days.
