Verimatrix chosen by Digicel
June 3, 2015
Verimatrix, a specialist in securing and enhancing revenue for multi-network, multi-screen digital TV services, has announced that Digicel New Media Ventures, a global telecommunications provider, has deployed the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS) for DVB to protect its Digicel Play HD digital entertainment service offering.
VCAS for DVB provides Digicel with a cardless security solution that saves the operator from managing the logistics of smart cards. VCAS solutions address the complexity of revenue security in today’s multi-network world.
“Verimatrix gives us the flexibility to seamlessly expand our service offering to multiple screens in the future, while also protecting our current content offering,” said Alan Constant, CTO, Digicel New Media Ventures. “We chose to deploy VCAS for DVB to protect our Digicel Play service because of the credibility and flexibility of the VCAS system, and its ability to seamlessly integrate with our preferred head end and set top box (STB) providers.”
