Agon Channel Italia to launch on Dec 1
November 26, 2014
From Branislav Pekic in Rome
Agon Channel Italia, an Italian version of a popular Albanian TV channel owned by Rome-based businessman Francesco Becchetti, will launch on December 1st.
It will initially be available on DTT channel 33 (and possibly later on satellite) and air general entertainment programmes, mainly targeted at the 18-55 year age group.
The broadcaster will bet on exclusive formats designed and produced by Albania’s Agon Channel in its production centre in Tirana, equipped with the latest generation studios and technology. Besides news and sports, the program schedule will also include popular genres such as talent/reality shows, game shows, variety shows and talk shows.
Agon Channel Italia presents itself as an alternative to general entertainment channels already available on DTT, but with a new and modern formula, focusing on the presence of familiar faces and professionals to Italian TV viewers, such as Sabrina Ferilli, Pupo, Maddalena Corvaglia, Simona Ventura, Antonio Caprarica and Luisella Costamagna.
