Comcast has signed an agreement with Warner Bros to start selling the studio’s titles through the Xfinity On Demand digital store. Effective immediately, Xfinity TV customers in the US will be able to purchase Warner Bros. movies and TV shows to own and access anytime, anywhere, on any device, often several weeks ahead of DVD release.
“We are thrilled to add the Warner Bros.’ hit films and television shows to our rapidly expanding offering of titles available for purchase,” said Michael Schreiber, Senior Vice President of Content Acquisition at Comcast. “Our Xfinity On Demand platform provides customers with the most current content, where and when they want it, and the incredible success of our digital store and cloud-based digital locker will only continue to grow as we expand the platform.”
Warner Bros. titles that will become available for purchase include: 42, Argo, Gravity, The Great Gatsby, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Man of Steel, Pacific Rim, Prisoners, We’re the Millers, The Conjuring, The Hangover Part III, and Veronica Mars.
