The long-awaited fourth season of Arrested Development made its Netflix debut on Sunday and although Netflix itself has not released official data, network intelligence company Procera has offered up a preliminary report of the impact of the cult show on overall Netflix traffic.

Highlights from the report, which sampled 10 different networks that it monitors across the US, include:

• For one DSL network, 36 per cent of Netflix traffic on Sunday was dedicated to at least part of an Arrested Development episode. That’s compared to 11 per cent for House of Cards on the same network.

• Early numbers indicate that 10 per cent of viewers made it all the way through all 15 Arrested Development episodes by Sunday evening/Monday morning.

Figures from TorrentFreak also show that the episodes were illegally downloaded over 100,000 times within 24 hours of launching.
