Quickflix streams to Kobo eReader

Quickflix has entered into an agreement with Kobo to distribute the Quickflix streaming service through connected Kobo eReaders and new generation devices.
Launching in the first quarter of 2013, selected new Kobo eReaders will come pre-loaded with Quickflix allowing unlimited subscription streaming of movies and TV and pay per view of latest releases. The partnership between Kobo and Quickflix covers both Australia and New Zealand.
According to a Telesyte Australian Media Tablet Study, 19 per cent of households in Australia now own at least one tablet up from 10 per cent a year ago, with half the population expected to use one by
Quickflix Chairman and CEO Stephen Langsford said “We are extremely excited to extend our streaming services to the ground breaking Kobo eReader giving our customers even more ways to view their favourite movies and TV shows whenever they want and where ever they are.”
