Zeebox in US backed by NBCU

TV companion app Zeebox is debuting in the US with investment and production backing from NBC Universal and its parent Comcast.
Comcast Cable and NBCU, will be lead partners in the US and have invested an undisclosed sum for a minority stake, while NBCU will also produce in-app components to enhance 307 of its shows using Zeebox.
In the UK, Zeebox has clocked 1.5 million downloads in a year and has 300,000 to 400,000 monthly unique users.
