Mexico’s Axtel will offer adult material

Mexico’s broadcasters have tended to downplay adult content within their portfolios of channels so as not to offend their conservative audiences. That could change with the launch later in a few days of a new IPTV service from Axtel.
Axtel has signed up five channels from ‘TEN’ (The Erotic Network, owned by New Frontier Media) which will offer five channels including a gay service as part of its IPTV offering.
Ericsson is the technology provider, while Verimatrix provides conditional access. Set-top boxes come from Kaon.
