Sky expands direct retail
January 14, 2008
BSkyB is expanding its retail presence to up to 250 outlets after reaching an agreement with the commercial landlord Land Securities. The company already operates a network of 59 kiosks that came with the 2006 acquisition of You Me TV.
The number of outlets is expected to reach 250 in 2008. The 'points of presence' are now Sky's third highest driver of new subscriptions behind TV and the Internet.
