More evidence that the US telcos are stealing subscribers away from cable and DTH comes from AT&T, which says it has added 155,000 net additions in the quarter-year and taking its overall U-Verse numbers to 4.15 million.

Some 75 per cent of AT&T’s U-verse subscribers are taking either a triple-play of quad-play bundle of services.

The extra subscribers helped drive U-verse revenues up 38 per cent (year-on-year) to $2.3 billion. However, while this was all positive news for U-verse, the telco lost 649,000 DSL subscribers during the same period.
