NBCUniversal VoD deal with Youku

China’s Youku has reached an online distribution deal with another Hollywood studio. The Internet television company announced it has signed a multiple-year agreement with NBCUniversal International Television Distribution for VoD rights in China.
The deal covers a broad collection of current, library and upcoming NBCUniversal feature. The films will be available for on-demand viewing through Youku’s pay service “Youku Premium”.
In addition to a yearly rotating selection of more than 100 classic titles from NBCUniversal’s catalogue, upcoming NBCUniversal releases including The Lorax, and Snow White & The Huntsman will be available for the pay service. The new films will appear on Youku after their China theatrical releases.
