Sky Media has announced eBay as the headline partner of Saturday Night Live UK, backing the British debut of NBC’s celebrated late night comedy showcase. The partnership with Sky Media will focus on eBay Live, the interactive shopping experience from eBay.
The partnership spans eBay Live-branded idents (2 x 15” and 2 x 5”) created by Sky Commercial Productions across broadcast and on-demand episodes featuring social clip sponsorship across Sky TV’s platforms, and a five-part long-form YouTube series, The SNL UK Style Edit, with styling expertise from eBay’s Pre-loved Style Director Amy Bannerman. The series will spotlight cast members and their capsule wardrobes featuring pre-loved fashion sourced from eBay.
Eve Williams, GM at eBay UK, commented: “This partnership is built on creating entertainment that connects to our culture and each other, making it an ideal fit. It allows us to showcase our real-time live shopping experience in a way that’s energetic, interactive, and rooted in community. We’re bringing fans closer to the action and extending the entertainment; while highlighting the value and iconic pieces you can find on eBay.”
Karin Seymour, Client and Marketing Director at Sky Media, commented: “This partnership demonstrates how brands can use premium live television to drive momentum and then amplify that impact across every screen. By integrating eBay across broadcast, social and live commerce, we’re creating a fully connected ecosystem around one of the most anticipated entertainment launches of the year.”
Saturday Night Live UK debuts on March 21st on Sky.
