February 18, 2026

Media and entertainment powerhouse Banijay Entertainment have announced the return of Mission Unknown with Prime Video, produced by Banijay Productions Germany, in cooperation with Banijay Media Germany and DLS Consulting. Following the success of the first season, the second instalment, Mission Unknown – The Unexpected, takes creators on an entirely new adventure, pushing them across unfamiliar terrains and deeper into the unknown.

Social media star and entertainer Jens Knossalla, aka Knossi, returns to Prime Video for another spectacular journey with nine creators. While filming is already underway, the location and participants joining Knossi on his adventures will be revealed at a later date. The new season will also air on Knossi’s YouTube channel two weeks after launching on Prime Video. Through deals secured by Banijay Media Germany together with DLS, brand partners for the series include HOLY and Garmin.

Arno Schneppenheim, Managing Director, Banijay Productions Germany says: “With Mission Unknown, we deliberately set out to do something different. A second season shows that audiences respond to bold, ambitious storytelling. And we’re grateful for the continued trust of Prime Video, which allows us to keep developing the format in ways that challenge both the talent and ourselves creatively.”

Lucas Green, Chief Content Officer, Operations, Banijay Entertainment adds: “Mission Unknown is a standout format and one we will be profiling at Banijay Entertainment’s upcoming London TV Screenings showcase. The show embodies how we are partnering with top digital‑native talent and finding new ways to bring our worlds together, resulting in an ambitious format, with high production values, and storytelling that truly cuts through with audiences.”
