Another global mega-constellation of satellites has been approved by the FCC. Logos Space wants to orbit 4,178 satellites into low Earth orbit. The approval is for usage of frequencies in the Ka, Q and V-bands which will work in orbital shells from 870 kms to 925 kms.

Logos Space says it will provide “multigigabit connectivity” that is secure against jamming and other electronic warfare threats.

“Our orbits and the ability to communicate straight up — even in equatorial areas — mean terrestrial jammers suffer significant attenuation at these frequencies at shallow angles when trying to interfere with our signals,” said the company

Logos Space must deploy and operate half of the constellation within seven years, with the remainder in place by January 30th 2035. Now Logos Space must raise the cash to build and launch its constellation.
