Winx Club: The Magic is Back sets premiere date

Rainbow, the independent Italian entertainment group led by Iginio Straffi, has announced that Winx Club: The Magic is Back (26 x 24’), the popular animated series following the adventures of a group of fairy friends, will make its UK debut on September 8th airing on CBBC Monday to Friday at 5.35pm. It will also be available to stream on the BBC iPlayer.
The series celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2o24, and is now set for a new era of enchantment with a new, CGI animated series that brings the magical dimension to life like never before.
A modern fantasy saga set in a vibrant world of magic, friendship and courage, Winx Club: The Magic is Back follows the adventures of Bloom, a teenage girl from Earth who discovers that she is a fairy with extraordinary powers. The new version is a coming-of-age story in which Bloom and her fairy friends discover how to become more powerful as they transform into super-heroines in order to save the magic dimension from the dark forces who want to control it. Its inspirational girl-empowerment storylines seek to promote friendship and self-discovery, coupled with strong and relatable characters and an engaging blend of comedy and music.
Early social media trailers and clips have already attracted a strong response including more than 12 million views on the Winx Club TikTok profile.
“We can’t wait for UK audiences to unfurl their fairy wings and harness their hidden superpowers as they experience the wonder, courage, and connection that the new Winx generation brings to life from September 8th,” commented Straffi. “The new series is a tribute to the fans who grew up with Bloom and her friends, and an invitation for today’s children to discover the rich storytelling and engaging characters that define the Winx universe.”

The series will also launch globally on Netflix on October 2nd.
