DAZN, LFP end dispute

LFP (Ligue de Football Professionnel) Media has reached an agreement with DAZN to end their dispute as part of their mediation process.
A statement on the LFP website said: “In the context of the mediation set up on the initiative of Mr Patrick Sayer, President of the Economic Activities Tribunal of Paris, LFP Media and DAZN, reached an agreement terminating their dispute”.
DAZN will reportedly pay €100 million to break the contract, as well as the final two payments for this season, worth €140 million.
Despite the fall out, DAZN remains eager to retain a partnership with the LFP and could yet support Ligue 1 in its plans to launch an in-house channel next season.
