Third edition of Rakuten’s AVOD for Impact campaign concludes

Rakuten TV, the European streaming platform, has announced the completion of the third edition of its solidarity initiative AVOD for Impact, a campaign that reaffirms the company’s commitment to social responsibility, donating advertising space on its platform to amplify the messages of organisations committed to causes of social impact.
In this winter edition, Rakuten TV has collaborated with three entities: Caritas Spain (Spain), Fundación Pequeño Deseo (Spain) and Una Nessuna Centomila (Italy), which work on essential causes such as the fight against poverty, emotional support for children with serious illnesses, and the prevention and fight against gender violence, respectively.
Through this initiative, Rakuten TV has offered each of these organisations an average of 600,000 free ad impressions, giving them the opportunity to share their messages with millions of users across Europe.

Rakuten TV’s AVOD for Impact campaign, launched in 2023, seeks to empower organisations by offering free viewability by donating ad inventory in its ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) model. The initiative has supported various entities that work in areas such as sustainability, education, equality and human rights, such as Ayuda en Acción, Red Cross, Legambiente, Greenpeace, CEAR and Fundación Diversidad.
In addition, this third edition of AVOD for Impact reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, key values included in Rakuten TV’s first Sustainability Report, recently published. This report details the company’s initiatives and progress in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), highlighting its commitment to diversity, inclusion and the reduction of environmental impact, as well as its commitment to the community through projects such as AVOD for Impact.
AVOD for Impact is an initiative of the ‘Rakuten TV ESG Ambassador Group’, a group of internal advocates for environmental, social and governance issues. With this third edition, Rakuten TV reinforces its commitment to continue using its platform as a vehicle for social change.
