Brazil slows auction for satellite capacity

Brazil’s publicly-owned telecoms infrastructure comp any Telebras says it has postponed its sale of Ka-band capacity on its SGDC defence satellite.
It had divided the bandwidth into three lots for sale but has now, following consultations, postponed the process.
Companies wishing to bid for the capacity now have until September 27th to enter their bids. Some of the capacity has already been allocated to Brazil’s military users, but the balance now under offer is available to bidders.
