Vodafone Spain has reached a deal with Sony Pictures and Paramount to broadcast their latest blockbuster movies in 4K.

Subscribers to Vodafone will be able to watch the 4K movies on VoD, with the first available titles including Passengers, Trainspotting 2 and Smurfs: The Lost Village, among others.

The Sony Pictures catalogue is composed of 16 recent films at a price of €6.99 each on VoD. In addition, Vodafone TV will distribute 52 archive films at no cost every week.

Paramount is initially launching 11 new ultra-HD films on VoD at €6.99 each, and seven older titles at €4.99.
