Sky’s Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom in cinemas this September

Sky has announced that the Sky Original film Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, will premiere in UK cinemas on September 18th. The movie sees the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm looking forward to Halloween – until the clumsy Farmer trashes the Flock’s treasured pumpkin patch. When Shaun turns mad scientist to fix the problem, things rapidly spiral out of control… With the Farmer missing and a wild beast roaming the woods of Mossingham, all the ingredients are in place for a monstrously fun family adventure.

A new trailer features the first appearance of Mossingham’s local influencer, voiced by Dani Dyer in her first animation voice acting role, who stages a selfie with the unsuspecting Beast.The vpice cast also includes Justin Fletcher, John Sparkes, Kate Harbour, Richard Webber, Emma Tate, Simon Greenall, Andy Nyman, Anna Leong Brophy and Marcus Brigstocke.

Aardman has partnered with Sky as the exclusive UK distributor, in a deal first announced in May 2025. Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is the third stop-motion feature from the celebrated, BAFTA and Academy Award-winning studio, following the success of Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, which earned two BAFTAs and an Oscar nomination, bringing Aardman’s total to seventeen BAFTAs and four Academy Awards.

2025 marked 30 years since Shaun’s first appearance in Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave, with the series now broadcast in 170 territories worldwide. The film is written by Mark Burton and Giles Pilbrow, directed by Steve Cox and Matthew Walker, and produced by Richard Beek, with Nick Park, Peter Lord, Carla Shelley and Sarah Cox serving as Studio Executive Producers.

StudioCanal will release Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom in France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Benelux and Poland, and is representing sales worldwide outside of the UK.
