Canada: Quebecor Content signs licensing deal with Disney+

Quebecor Content has announced a licensing agreement with Disney+, to bring a number of Quebec productions to the platform for streaming in Canada. This agreement seeks to increase the exposure of Quebec talent, helping them reach a wider audience, while also enriching the Disney+ line-up with popular, French-language narrative content.
Quebecor Content’s original series, distributed by TVA Distribution, Mouse Trap is set to join the service soon, with Chaos, Mégantic, Son of Mine and IXE-13: Racing for the Uranium (pictured) available immediately to stream immediately.
“We’re incredibly proud to see these five standout Quebec series join the Disney+ catalogue,” commented Luana Ann Church, Quebecor Content’s Vice-president, Development, Acquisitions and Distribution. “Showcasing them allows global audiences to experience the full depth, authenticity and creative force of our storytelling.”
