Sky Deutschland extends Premier League rights

Sky Deutschland has extended the rights to Premier League football rights in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Through a three-season extension, Sky Deutschland will remain the home of the league through to the 2030-31 season. All 380 games every season will be covered by the German pay-TV broadcaster, with over 280 of these being shown live. The deal covers all distribution platforms, including commercial premises such as bars, hotels and other public venues via Sky Business.

With numerous German stars and many of the best players in the world, the league is particularly attractive to football fans in Germany. With the long-term rights to the Premier League and the EFL, as well as the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, Sky Sport remains the home of German and English club football and further strengthens its position as the leading sports provider,” commented Barny Mills, CEO of Sky Deutschland.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
