Prime Video tips off NBA Playoffs coverage in UK

Prime Video Sports has announced its NBA Playoffs schedule for customers in the UK and Ireland featuring exclusive coverage of the entire NBA Play-In Tournament, select first and second-round Playoff games, the Eastern Conference Finals and the NBA Finals, all available at no additional cost to Prime members.

NBA on Prime’s inaugural postseason coverage begins with the Play-In Tournament on April 15th at 00:30 BST featuring the Charlotte Hornets vs the Miami Heat followed by Phoenix Suns vs Portland Trailblazers 03:00 BST. Prime Video will also exclusively present the first playoff games of the postseason, beginning on April 18th at 18:00 BST with Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors.

The NBA on Prime studio team of Blake Griffin, Udonis Haslem and Hall-of-Famer Dirk Nowitzki, will provide comprehensive pregame, halftime and postgame coverage during the Play-In Tournament and Playoffs, hosted by Taylor Rooks. Player analyst Kyle Lowry will also join the desk for select shows throughout the postseason. In United Kingdom & Ireland, post-season action will be called by our local team of experts on Prime Video, including Nick Halling, Rob Paternostro, Rob McIntosh, Mo Mooncey and Drew Lasker.

Enhancing the Postseason Experience with Technology

Prime Video continues to leverage technology to enhance the viewing experience through fan-first features, all of which extend to NBA on Prime’s postseason coverage, giving NBA fans access to several innovations and features within the broadcast, including:

– Rapid Recap: The feature provides an AI curated highlights reel of the game’s best moments so far to bring fans who join late up to speed in two minutes or less. This feature can be accessed from the game’s detail page before joining the live broadcast.

– Integrated Stats: Enhances the viewing experience with real-time statistics and advanced analytics, available during live games. Fans can dive deeper into important metrics at the press of a button, including player & team level Box Score stats and Game Leaders, gaining insights that enrich their understanding and appreciation of the game as it unfolds.

– Multi-View: Multi-View allows fans to customise their viewing experience by watching up to four games on a single screen simultaneously, allowing them to choose which game is in ‘Focus View’ or which audio feed to listen to. Multi-View is available on select devices including Fire TV, Apple TV and mobile devices at launch and can be conveniently used with the NBA League Pass.
