Viasat’s latest satellite, the second in its planned fleet expansion, its ViaSat-3 F2 has its launch delayed by 24 hours.

The craft should have launched during the late evening of November 5th from Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral on a giant United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket. ULA Launch Director James Whelan has announced that we will not continue with countdown operations.

The launch attempt was scrubbed due to an issue encountered while cycling the booster liquid oxygen tank vent valve during final checkouts.

The launch is now planned for November 6th at 10:16pm EST (Florida time) at the opening of a 44-minute window. The rocket will take some three and a half hours to reach its geostationary transfer orbit where it will undergo tests prior to being moved to its final orbital destination.
