November 3, 2025
The BBC has announced that Jameela Jamil (The Good Place, She-Hulk) will guest star in The Split Up, a new six-part legal drama coming to BBC iPlayer and BBC One.
Set in the charged world of Manchester’s high-net-worth divorce circuit, The Split Up introduces the Kishan family – a powerhouse British South Asian law firm whose success, secrets and loyalties are about to be tested.
The series, with story and characters by Ursula Rani Sarma (Smother, Delicious), is based on The Split, created by multiple award-winning Abi Morgan (The Split, Eric), and produced by Sister in association with Little Chick. Abi returns as Executive Producer, alongside Ursula Rani Sarma, Jane Featherstone (Black Doves, Coldwater) and Bryony Arnold (Code of Silence, Peaky Blinders).
As previously announced Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy) and Sanjeev Bhaskar (Unforgotten) are joined Aysha Kala (Virdee), Arian Nik (Film Club), Danny Ashok (Dinosaur), Dimitri Leonidas (Those About To Die), Mawaan Rizwan (Juice), Sindhu Vee (Matilda the Musical), Shalini Peiris (The White Lotus) and Tom Forbes (Queenie). The series also welcomes a host of standout guest stars, including Lenny Henry (Three Little Birds) and Jane Horrocks (Bloods).
BBC Studios is handling global sales.
