Sansecond named Hispasat Technical Director
October 17, 2025
Hispasat has appointed Manuel San Segundo as the Group’s new Technical Director.
Sansecond has held different positions in the technical area of Hispasat since its incorporation in 1991. As head of Flight Segment for the past 22 years, he has led the technical part of all company missions, including launch-related activities, satellite control centres and flight dynamics.
With this appointment, pending ratification by its governing bodies, Hispasat says it “guarantees continuity and excellence in its operations in the field and flight segments,” as well the development of the new fleet programmes and the new infrastructures and services that the Group will deploy in the coming years, including the European IRIS2 secure satellite communications system.
Sansecond succeeds Antonio Abad in the role.
